Message from
Dr. Noreen Green, Artistic Director
and Ilizabeth Gilbert, Education Director

Dear students, teachers and visitors to this website,

Since its founding in 1994, the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony has been
dedicated to educating our audiences about our unique repertoire of music
reflective of the Jewish experience. For the past 10 years we have taken
pride in presenting a variety of school based curricula to Jewish day
schools and public schools.  These programs have been funded by grants from
such prestigious institutions as the Jewish Community Foundation, The
Maurice Amado Foundation, the Righteous Persons Foundation, the Leonard and
Susan Bay Nimoy Foundation, the National Endowment of the Arts, the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation and Target

The LAJS is dedicated to building bridges between communities. We hope you will use this website as a resource to share your questions and observations about our “Patchwork of Cultures” program that promotes children’s learning about the common musical heritage shared by Hispanic and Jewish cultures.

If you are interested in bringing this program to your community, or would like to find out about our concert presentations, please contact our offices by e-mail - info@lajewishsymphony.org
or call us at 818-728-1923.
